Les artistes se le sont approprié en tant que matériau principal dans leurs pratiques artistiques. Dans cet article, nous nous intéressons en particulier aux pratiques artistiques de l’artiste américaine Cindy Sherman, qui se met en scène dans ses photographies en soulignant les stéréotypes associés au féminin. Nous nous focaliserons sur les différentes étapes de son travail et nous en dégagerons des notions et concepts d’ordre esthétique. In this article, we will mainly focus on the American artist Cindy Sherman, who portrays her photographs in a way that highlights women-associated stereotypes.
