Elle aborde la période 1963-2013, des grandes grèves de mineurs jusqu’aux problèmes récents du groupe sidérurgique Arcelor- Mittal à Florange-Hayange. This contribution will focus on the one hand, on Lorraine, an emblematic region of the french industrial development from the end of the 19th century to the 1970’s, and, on the other hand, on two industrial sectors equally emblematic of the process of industrialisation: iron ore mining as well as iron and steel.
