La question de l’autonomie de la recherche en didactique de l’histoire se pose-t-elle à l’égard de l’histoire proprement dite ou des institutions enseignantes prescriptrices ? Qu’en est-il en particulier pour l’histoire sociale ? Pour répondre à ces questions, cette contribution propose de développer une didactique de l’histoire inscrite dans son contexte de société, attentive à la conflictualité sociale comme à la mise en exergue de manières de penser le monde à partir des questionnements de l’histoire en vue de faire construire des savoirs savoureux, porteurs d’une dimension critique. How do history and its didactics, i.e. the study of the ways in which it is transmitted and appropriated by a variety of audiences, particularly pupils, complement each other and interact? Does the question of the autonomy of research into the didactics of history arise in relation to history itself or to the teaching institutions that prescribe it? And what about social history in particular?
